It’s well into the new year, can you believe it? We thought it would be fun to look at the top kitchen trends in interior design...let's see what our designers came up with.
Firstly, we must start by focusing on the 'heart of a home' : The Kitchen.
Trend # 1: Colorful cabinets. The swing toward bold colored cabinetry instead of the expected white is such a welcoming change.

Trend # 2: Natural elements. People are falling in love with Mother Nature and using natural stone beyond countertops. Below, a natural textured backsplash lines this custom kitchen wall. A iron vent hood give the space a natural, 'Old Spanish' feel

Trend # 3: Colored double islands. This year, we are officially closing the door on pure white kitchens. Even if it’s just one element of accent color to add some bold contrast to the perimeter creamy-white cabinetry.

Trend # 4: Contrasting Textures. A combination of contrasting textures and sleek finishes makes things very interesting. The rustic brick backsplash adds a textural contrast to the sleek white counters and brass lighting.

Trend # 5: Pendant Light Fixtures. Statement hanging pendants are very important in distinct areas within an open-plan space.

Trend # 6: Clutter-Free Counters. Due to the popularity of Marie Kondo, there are many requests for appliance cabinets.

Trend # 7: Decorative Hardware. The cabinets are dressed with elegant brass hardware, specifically the custom dish cabinet that was crafted with Cremone Bolts - one of the clients beloved features of the home.

Trend # 8: Two-Tone. Mixing different colors, patterns, and materials. Behold. This stunning kitchen, its striking design contrasts bold gold and black in way that is not too overpowering. It is a Wow-factor for sure!
