A Perfect Date Houston Night: Includes The Astros & Ashton Joseph

Houston has all you need for a fun date night! It has the best shopping, restaurants, bars, and sports teams to root for. So, when it comes to senior designer, Ashton's ideal date night...it requires all of the above: new gear, great drinks, yummy good, and a Astros win.

From day to night, follow along with Ashton and her husband, Chris, as they take on the perfect Houston Weekend!

Our Houston date night...requires sports!

"My husband and I are extreme sports fans, depending on the season we are always attending a Texans, U of H Coogs, or Astros game on the weekend. Right now, we are all about our Astros! So, our current date nights include catching a game.

The Astros Itinerary:

To start the day, we head to restock on the latest Astros gear to support our team. I love going to local boutiques such as, Anything Bling or Pepperlou to see what they have new in stock. Then, we usually stop by Academy to buy Chris a new hat or shirt to get ready for game-day.

After we are all decked out in Astros gear, we head downtown to our favorite restaurant: Potente for a pre-game brunch. It's located next door to the stadium, so it's the perfect spot to grab a few drinks and bites before the game!

If you stop by, here's what you must order:

• 1/2 pound cheeseburger 

• Truffle parmesan fries 

• Potente 75 cocktail  

Everything is delish, but these are a can't miss! Plus, they have the best bar staff, who we dive into deep pre-game banter about the latest stats, players, and who's pitching that day!

Off To Daikin Park.

Once we make it into the stadium, our first stop is El Tiempo on the first floor to get one of their amazing margs! Strawberry on the rocks is my go-to.

Then we had to our seats, excited to cheer our boys. (I'm always hoping we catch a foul ball!)

As we enter the 7th inning stretch, the break calls for a little sweet & salty snack -- My favorite is the candied popcorn paired with a refreshing coke from the Jim Beam Bourbon Bar.

Celebrate an Astros Win!

After an Astros win, it’s time for the fireworks show in the stadium. It's my favorite part of the day. They open the roof up to the Houston skyline, and it is so cool to witness in person.

Now, its time to head to our 'post-game' night cap at Little Woodrow's for some late night pizza and music. I love the casual community there, everyone is excited about the game, toasting to the win - that, paired with delish pizza and their live DJ - there is no better place to end the night.

After all, an Astros win is always a good date night!
