Popular Houston White Kitchen Design Ideas

Updated: May 27, 2020

It’s the beginning of the year, here at By Design Interiors, we are getting lots of requests about space planning, and how to design homes so it’s easy to stay organized.

Since the kitchen is the heart of a home, we would like to share some of our favorite projects. We are focusing on white kitchens today because it’s classic and never goes out of style. Enjoy!

This white kitchen is stunning with high-end appliances and a crisp, clean transitional feel. The combination of the tall white cabinets, quartz countertops, natural stone backsplash, textured wallpaper, and teal accents makes this kitchen a light and airy place to gather family and friends.

Designer: Peggy Fuller

The large kitchen is light, bright, and perfect for entertaining. Subtle red accents bring in the owner’s favorite bold color in the handmade tile accent, the red distressed island, and the upholstered counter stools. The built-in refrigeration, two large working sinks, and plenty of counter space.

When designing your kitchen, it is so easy to spend most of your time focusing on the visual aspects of the design. However, We recommend every client to really spend more time thinking about the function of the room that is the heart of the home.

Designer: Ashton Joseph

The open glass-fronted upper cabinets are a wonderful contrast to the deep blue lower cabinets and dark gray quartz countertops. The large 6-burner range and industrial vent hood are great for cooking large meals. Extra storage can be found in the upper layer of cabinets across the entire back wall of the kitchen.

Simple changes to the kitchen brought the space out of the 90s and into a fresh space perfect for meal prep and entertaining. New cabinet doors revitalized the space and fresh paint allowed the beautiful granite counters and backsplash to really pop. Fun accessories and the amazing “mechanically elegant” bar stools designed by Nick Alain add some color and funk to the space.

Mixing metals is no longer taboo – the combination of iron cabinet hardware and iron light fixture contrasts beautifully with the stainless appliances. Upper cabinets that reach the ceiling offer plenty of storage while the closet pantry is turned into a design feature with its frosted glass door.

This high-end kitchen was completely remodeled after opening up the space and allowing light in, as well as easy access to the breakfast room and great room. This crisp, white kitchen is warmed up with the wooden beam and the island base and infused with industrial touches. The owners are cooking enthusiasts and wanted ample space where they could prepare healthy meals and specialized storage to keep the look clean. The entire kitchen is highly personalized to function effortlessly with their lifestyle.

A special thanks to Keechi Creek Builders and Accent Cabinets for their hard work on this project. Erika Barczak, By Design Interiors Inc.
