The Future is Bright, Bold and Gold!

The Future is Bright, Bold and Gold!

It is fascinating to see how interior design and fashion follow the current economic and political mood in our country! In a two part series, we will explore how the country’s economic upswing is influencing furniture design and color, metal choices and material selections. First, we will take a look at how furniture designers are trending towards plush, tailored and richly hued fabrics. Fortunately, the industry is able to keep things fresh and modern and not sacrifice comfort in the name of luxury!

This shift in direction is a move towards a more luxurious look that reflects the current optimistic outlook. Bright and bold colors include sapphire blues, emerald greens and deep ruby reds.  Vibrant corals and turquoises are also a nod to this upbeat, positive vibe.

Nail head trim in gold accent colors add a refined, finished look to these furniture pieces. Double contrast trim on this small ottoman really elevates the piece to a new level!

Sherwin Williams chose a cheerful coral color for their 2015 color of the year influenced by the economic revitalization. Ambella ran with this color for these gorgeous chairs that have a pretty tailored trim for added interest.

This design is spectacular! You most certainly know how to
keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost
moved to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Great job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!
