It's been quite the week for Houstonians, our beloved baseball team Astros just won the MLB World Series against Los Angeles Dodgers, Hooray! To celebrate this happy occasion, we want to share a very fun and cheery design project that was recently completed by our super talented designer Erika. This spectacular home was designed by one of our amazing designers, Ashton Morgan, and built by Flair Builders! This week we will look at ways to incorporate floral design onto walls!  A wonderful way to bring life into a room with a big impact is to use a wallcovering! If you want to create a stunning focal point in a space, a wall mural may be the perfect solution!

Flirty floral patterns have been blooming everywhere in interiors including; wallcoverings, fabrics, window treatments, rugs, accessories and even lighting! From large scale prints to old school vintage inspired botanicals, these florals have been reinterpreted to look updated and fresh and they can be incorporated in a variety of interior styles from classic to contemporary! 

 As designers, we love to put a little something unexpected into a room! It may be one of the first things you notice when you walk in but more often than not, it is a little more subtle, like a surprise waiting to be discovered!

First up is an exquisite, traditional home in Tomball TX, designed by Erika Barczak! This week we will focus on the kitchen and dining areas of the home.

It seemed that everywhere we turned in April at High Point Furniture Market, we saw writing desks! These desks were placed not only in a study, but in all other areas of the home as well! We saw some placed behind sofas, next to beds (doubling as a night stand) and of course, in home offices!

Whether it is in your kitchen, master bathroom, bar or powder bathroom; backsplashes can infuse personality into a space! Backsplashes can be a stunning focal point in a room by adding color, texture or dimension to a room! As designers, we consider the backsplash to be an exciting design element where we have the opportunity to combine materials to create a custom design like no other!
