Natural Inspirations - Part 2!

Natural Inspirations - Part 2!

In the second part of our nature inspired blog, we went straight to our interior designers to find out what about nature inspires them!

Designer Ayca Stiffel takes her inspiration from nature in flight and says "I am definitely inspired by nature.... especially birds and butterflies...they exhibit the most amazing color combinations!"

Interior designer, Erika Barczak, seems to have carried her love of the water into her designs!

"In college, it became apparent that every one of my designs had something to do with water - my professor attributed it to the fact that I was a springboard diver at the time. I designed a meditation room with a platform floating in a pool, a seafood restaurant that I called "Wave," and high rise apartment with a large cascading waterfall.  My love for all of the colors you see in the ocean hasn't waned throughout my work in the real world.   I very obviously gravitate towards deep rich blues, bright glittering turquoises, or soft gray greens. Those colors have such a calming emotional impact on me that I can't really explain". - Erika Barczak

As the weather gets cooler (finally!) our minds are anticipating fall and the colors, textures and patterns that it brings to us. Owner and designer, Peggy Fuller, is inspired by the colors and textures of nature and enjoys the changes each season brings!

Designer Carly Crawford says, "Nature influences me in so many ways! Whether it be a gorgeous sunset sky painted with colors or a babbling creek full of natural earth tones, taking time to enjoy nature not only revives the soul but inspires creativity!"

So if you are ever lacking inspiration, it may be as simple as a walk out your door and into nature!
