Mad About Plaid!

Mad About Plaid!

As the weather cools and the leaves change colors (or if you live in Houston, the pine needles fall) we are drawn to cozier fabrics, and nothing says fall like plaid! This traditional pattern is transitioning straight from the runways into home décor! Plaid is no newcomer to interior design but it is fun to see it used in fresh and modern ways!

The vibrant colors used on these furniture pieces gives them an instant update! As you can see, plaid can work with modern, transitional or traditional pieces.

This very traditional armchair is given a modern twist with plaid fabric that has a pretty, watercolor inspired pattern!

The color gray is becoming a go to neural and looks great in plaid! The unique starburst shape of this ottoman would really make it stand out in a room!

If you like the idea of plaid but in smaller doses, you could try it on a seat cushion, pillows or small ottomans. It brings warmth and pattern into a space!

One of the best parts of being an interior designer is to expose clients to new ways of thinking about design. Described verbally, it may be difficult to picture how modern geometric pillows will blend with a transitional tufted bed and a traditional plaid bench with spindle legs but, take a look below!

You actually make it appear really easy together with your presentation but I find
this matter to be really one thing that I feel I might
never understand. It sort of feels too complex
and very extensive for me. I'm looking ahead on your next post, I'll try to get the cling of it!
