From dated, dark and narrow - this space was transformed into a stunning, open concept Kitchen by Interior Designer, Erika Barczak and Wamhoff Design-Build.
The original Kitchen was not user-friendly. It was a tight space that didn’t allow an effective work area for the Clients who love to cook. After evaluating the Clients needs for an inviting, high-functioning kitchen – the walls were removed between the existing Kitchen and Great Room. This allowed for an open concept layout – nearly doubling the size of the room!
This Kitchen was given a modern updated with a bold navy ceiling, crisp white cabinets in a modified shaker-style and a contrasting distressed black island. The custom vent hood was designed to coordinate with the unique island design – it was made from a reclaimed beam that was discovered by the Clients. A one-of-a-kind and personal touch!
Gray quartz countertops along the perimeter pair seamlessly with the blue-gray hand-made Moore Markowitz backsplash from Materials Marketing. This clean look pops against the black accents of the pendants, hardware and bold framing of the kitchen sink window. Adding warmth to the space.
This is Kitchen was given new life – it’s hard to believe this is the same space. Its funky and modern with touches of reclaimed wood – the perfect representation of the clients.
