Creative and Clever Kitchens!

Creative and Clever Kitchens!

Keeping your kitchen organized can be a nightmare! With so many different kitchen gadgets, new gourmet spices, and millions of cookbooks out there it can be hard to know where to place everything! Clients remodeling their kitchens or building new homes are always looking for ways to make sure that their new, beautiful, culinary space stays neat and tidy.

We here at By Design Interiors have done hundreds of new construction kitchen as well as kitchen remodels over our almost 25 years in the business. We have several clever kitchen organization ideas to help out with your next project.

Built-ins! – Those silverware utensil inserts can be flimsy and don’t always fit your needs. If you are installing custom cabinets have your carpenter build utensil and knife slots for you! It will keep your drawers looking great and everything will be in its place.

Spice it up! – This is Texas and we love our spices, but where do you store them in your kitchen and still maintain easy access? We here at By Design are loving this next simple solution. Pull out spice rack! Everything has a place while still being able to find the perfect spice with ease!

Book it! – Kitchen islands provide great storage. One thing our designers love to do is to incorporate a bookcase into kitchen islands. This provides a spot for all those great cook books you’ve collected over the years, and offers practical, usable storage space!

Menu Planning! – The area at the end of your kitchen cabinets is usually unused which is a shame. Utilizing this unused space in your kitchen for a menu and home planning area is becoming more and more popular! It’s a great space for mom’s planning the week’s groceries or even kids doing homework!

So next time you remodel or are building a new home, remember our designers have many more clever kitchen ideas where these came from!
