Color Theory- Red

Color Theory- Red

Strength, power, passion and love are some of the emotions that the color RED can evoke.

"It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. It is a color found in many national flags," as quoted by

The color red is associated with high energy, so what better place to use the color than in a work out room or entertainment area where you want HIGH energy.

Designers use color in many different ways.  One trick they use to evoke different kinds of emotion is the same color is to use it with different combinations of other colors.

With a darker background, the color red in this room appears bright and energetic.  It tends to jump out of the photo.  But, the red pillows, in the photo below, are paired with light bedding and copper colored walls, they create a whole different mood.

Music is so distracting and oeevpowrrs the main presentation. Don't use lyrics if you must have music background. You have 2:49 to present your company and you are´╗┐ blowing it. Worse yet, you were told this 2 years ago and failed to do anything!
