Bringing the Outdoors In!

Bringing the Outdoors In!

There is an exciting trend in the design world as the lines begin to blur between indoor and outdoor living! Outdoor furniture is the fastest growing market in the furniture industry, with new variations that include more durable frames, wicker resins, recycled materials and stain resistant designer fabrics!

More and more, families are looking for an increasingly laid back, casual lifestyle with additional expansive outdoor living space. This has lead to a blending of natural organic elements with architecture and furniture design.

With elements of wood, glass, wicker and fabric, this dining set could reside in a charming breakfast nook or a covered patio!

With the right wood treatment and Sunbrella fabrics, we could picture these handsome high back chairs in front of an indoor or outdoor fireplace!

This hammock inspired chair is a great example of blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor furniture!

This graceful bench would look amazing at the foot of a bed or on a large front porch.

We can picture this living room furniture inside a casual family room with lots of children! The frames of outdoor furniture are usually reinforced with strengthened metals or hardwoods and are resilient enough to withstand extreme conditions! In addition, Sunbrella fabrics are easy to clean, stain resistant and machine washable - a parent's dream!

While this chaise lounge may not be suitable for the elements, its serene, relaxed feel and "out by the pool" lounge chair design gives it an appealing vibe!

Again, this set may not be best in outdoor conditions but it definitely takes its cue from nature with its airy, carefree design!

This lovely settee would look gorgeous no matter where you put it!

Stay tuned next week as we continue to explore the great outdoors/indoors!
